Gucci Opens Flagship Store in Paragon

In celebration of the opening of Gucci’s newly renovated Paragon flagship boutique, the brand hosted an official store opening cocktail. Both Creative Director Frida Giannini and Gucci President and CEO Patrizio di Marco were in attendance for the event which was followed by an exclusive gala dinner hosted by Frida herself at the Capella Resort.
This being Frida’s first visit to Singapore, the Singapore Tourism Board in association with the Singapore Botanic Gardens honoured the occasion by creating a special orchid hybrid named after the designer herself, the Parvanda Frida. The same orchid was the source of the inspiration for Frida’s unique line of merchandise to benefit the Mainly I Love Kids (MILK) charity, an organization that works towards improving the lives of children from troubled or impoverished communities. The designer also presented ten women, who donated generously to MILK, with limited edition orchid handbags. The range features the iconic Gucci Boston bag and a wristlet in a lovely white GG coated canvas, accented with hand-painted motifs of the Parvanda Frida as well as men and women t-shirts.
The line will be available exclusively at the Paragon flagship store and 100% of proceeds will be donated to MILK.
