Chronoswiss Grand Opus Grand Prix
By Jonathan Ho on 7/27/10 | Categorized under watches

Founded by Gerd R. Lang in 1983, this relatively young horologer is somewhat of an upstart. Keeping exclusive through a small production cycle of 7000 watches per year, the German watchmaker with Swiss made timepieces usually uses Enicar 165 movements. For the Grand Opus Grand Prix, they have gone with a chronograph workhorse Valjoux 7750 modified into Chronoswiss Caliber C.741.
Sporty yet elegant, the Chronoswiss Grand Opus was introduced at Baselworld fair 2010 in a limited run of 25 pieces. An eye catching combination of DLC coating in dark anthracite grey with bright orange highlights brings this solid 39-part case to life.
Whether on suited wrist or by the pool side, screw-in-lugs with patented Autobloc system with up to 3ATM water resist gives you piece of mind regardless of occasion. Effortlessly gorgeous, skeletonised and gold-plated rotor with cotes de Geneve and chrome-blackened components allows lookers to admire and be mesmerised by the contrasting mechanisms.
