Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
Ans: Cleansers for Face Wash, Shave And Treatment like moisturizer.
First of all, it has to be a well known name not necessary brand name because I have to be sure of the product safety first. Afterall, looks are very important nowadays.
Secondly, the product must suit my skin type which is oily and it must be able to allow my face to be oil-free for a few hours if possible.
Thirdly, I believe in natural ingredients being used such as citric acids, alpha hordroxy acids, cocoa butter etc because I believe what occurs naturally in the environment would not harm my skin.
Fourthly, the product cannot be ridiculously priced without giving amazing results. If I bought such products that are just marketing hype, I would not use them again.
Last but not all, if the product is green labelled and environmentally friendly, I would definitely support it.
It must be simple, fuss-free. Be all in one if possible inclusive of sun protection. Must be long lasting so that one application can last the.whole.day and must be sweat proof.
Firstly, I would look at which skin types the product is suited for. Personally, I have oily skin so when choosing a cleanser, I would look out for one which has an exfoliating action.
Secondly, I would look at what kind of instant results the product offers, and how it would make my skin look better after application. For example, it should be able to invigorate dull skin or brighten dark circles under the eyes.
Lastly, reviews are the most important of buying any product. I would look up a certain product on the Internet and check out if it has any positive reviews. If it is highly rated, I would definitely buy it.
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
A. One main factor I take into consideration when buying a skincare product is the track record. Things like their history – how long has this skincare product been in the market, has any of their products won any awards or been featured in any magazines, and how much research and development has been put into their products to ensure that it’s the best.
Another factor that I take into consideration is the value for money. Even though the price of the product might be a little steep, but if it is able to do more than one thing for my face and improve my face, it is worth the price.
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
It depends on purpose and when I apply, as well as suitable for my skin type. I prefer light and easy to apply products.
A refreshing cleanser, simple toner and moisturizer in the morning. Fuss-free and light for skincare that I apply easily before heading out. Moisturizer with SPF is a plus.
I keep sunblock in the office and re-apply if I need to go out of office.
Night regime includes an additional gel/ cream for skin repair.
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
1) It makes be fuss free and easy to use
2) The packaging must not be too ‘girlish’
3) 2 in 1 product that serves multi-purpose, preferably 1 product that works on entire face and eye areas.
4) Reasonable priced (anything rocket price with miracle claims is out – I am not in to compete with my wife anyway
I am pretty particular about the products I use. My skin type is oily and has skin sensitivity. My face also gets dehydrated easily. Hence some of the factors I consider while buying face products:
1) does the brand have a series of products suitable for me? from cleanse/deep cleanse, scrub, tone (reduce pores), moisturise, repair/brighten and shave.
2) with sensitive skin, i would look for products that are gentle on the skin and dermatologically tested.
3) for moisturiser, it would be good if it has sun protection (SPF) and lightweight so it feels good on the skin
4) after moisturiser, the oil control product should give me a mattifying feel and a good gauge is that it can last at least half a day.
5) would be good if the series include brightening lotion to lighten any pores and overnight repair/hydration lotion.
6) for shaving, i prefer cream that prepares a good shave and provides post-shave relief.
7) it would be good if they come in travel sizes so i can carry them around, for a mid-day wash or after gym use.
The brand , LAB series is a brand u can trust .
definitely has to be affordable, suitable & in a nice pacakaging…
To me its very simple
1) Value for money, it has to be worth the price i’m paying for.
2) Fuss free and easy to use. I am a guy what do you expect. i am lazy and cannot be bothered with anything more then 1 step
1)price
2)any drying agent as i don’t like it
3)how long can it last
4)ease of use
5)does it have an effect on my skin?
I don’t use skincare products, because I don’t believe that they work. But you’re welcome to prove me wrong.
If I haven’t tried the product before, factors that I consider before buying skin care products are:
1. product history –> it should be from a well establish company and has a proven track record for skin care
2. product ingredients –> i make sure there’s nothing on the product that I might be allergic from, as much as possible, i buy only those made from organic materials
3. product safety –> it has to passed some regulatory body’s standards
4. recommendations from doctors or friends —> sometimes I buy products because doctors recommeded it or my friends have tried it before and works with them.
Once I tried it and works well on my skin, I always stick it!
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
Branding – It shows how much time and money the company has put into R&D to get the final product
Reliability – I need to be able to trust the the product to work
Purpose – Do I need a scrub or just a normal oil-cleanser
Price – For something which you have to replenish every now and then, it cannot be too expensive
Whats more important is if the product is suitable for my skin. For me, it does not matter what brand it is, as long it compliments my skin well and no adverse reaction.
Secondly, I need to know what products I would need to satisfy the current issues of my skin. Such as, in a dry and cold environment, I would need a rich moisturizer that would keep my skin moisture and hydrated all day. On the other hand, if I’m in a hot and humid environment, I’d need to get a product that not make my skin oily, but at the same time make my skin fresh and contain the acne production.
Night vs day usage is also another factor i look into. For night, I look into products that is rich in content, that has aiding effect depending on the situation. (For example, if I have not had much sleep, I would want a product that can rejuvenate my skin overnight, or if I am having acne problem, I would look for a product that helps diminish the acne, or even if I have dark spots on my face, I would look for products that have brightening effect. Night usage is important as the effects are seen faster when skin is at rest. While day on the other hand, I look for something lighter, and refreshing, and that contains the oil production of the skin
The brand is the most thing that i would look for when buy a skincare product as i must have the confidence and trust in the company that come up with this product. With trust and confidence in the company, i can believe what have been written on the package of the skincare porduct and what it claims to be capable of. The next factor that i would take into consideration is the price. As a salarised worker, we are all constraint by our purchasing power.
For me, i will go for the feel of the product first before i buy it. Since the product is to be applied onto my face, i want to ensure that it feel good when i rub it on my face. If i don’t feel good about the product, i would not consider it at all. Next thing i will consider is the price, the ultimate deciding factor for most of the people who earn a fixed salary.
Factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
1) Fuss-free and easy to use
2) Packaging neat and cool
3) Multi-purpose and functional product that can work on entire face and eye areas.
4) Reasonable priced and reliable
As I have oily / combination skin, there are several things that I tend to look out for.
I would always look for a product that is suitable for my skin. I have used some products which caused breakouts and therefore using the right product for the right skin type is important. I also try to avoid products which are too harsh on the skin. So, I will be quite wary if it contains too much alcohol although it may be one of the ways for oil control.
So, a good cleanser in the morning to start of the day that isn’t too harsh on the skin followed by a lightweight moisturizer would be what I tend to look out for. It would be excellent if the moisturizer has some SPF for sun protection during the day. A lightweight moisturizer can also be reapplied if necessary so something in a tube would work best.
For the night, I would look for a product that has a light scrub to remove the dirt “collected” during the day. This will be followed by a slightly heavier or more hydrating moisturizer.
Of course, the most important factor is the word of mouth. I believe that recommendations from friends and family who has positive experience with a particular product will make it more appealing.
1. The skin products must make the user look and feel GREAT considering the UV and humidity in Singapore.
2. The ingradients of the products should promote the long term healthiness of the skin.
3. The products should come from a reputable brand with proven achievement in skin products and offer excellent customer experience via counter service and events.
4. Great value for money and useful skin / lifestyle / diet / exercise tips on social media.
Men being themselves, when looking at any skin care product, will apply the same philosophy with what they do with their lives on things personal to them.
For me, any satisfying product would need to show consistency and performance.
Performance = It would need to prove that what it says on the label it delivers on skin contact asap.
Consistency = A good & reliable product shouldn’t just disappear overnight while leaving its clients high and dry. Instead, it would better serve to be replace by a much better product that still address the users’ current needs.
The trend in men diving in doves into skincare is still in its infancy, so most of us are still not fancy footed yet to move out of the importance of products meeting the bare essentials of what it seriously do.
1. ingredients ingredients ingredients. soap free cleansing agents and SLS free for the cleansers, minimal preservatives (parabens) and simple humectants for moisturisers. because you really don’t need much else.
2. smell: why put on something that will make you retch?
3. cost: most high end brands are part of huge conglomerates that bulk buys base ingredients. so you are, more often than not, paying for the brand, literally.
4. ease of use: most guys don’t want to spend hours and hours in front of the mirror, it’s a slap-on-and-go ease that will really make products become part of my routine
5. animal testing: there’s no reason in the world why animals have to suffer for human vanity. it’s just revolting.
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
A. Mens like us need an extra care, daily needs and extra attention to our skin. Moreover, i do not wish to spend over thousand of dollars to go facial treatment or lazer. Which just one brand (Lab Series Skincare) can accompany my lifetime and helping my skin clear and healthy looking skin. Among all these factor i usually consider well enough before spending on expensive stuff on facial cleansing, toner, lotion, eye gel/cream/Lotion etc….
1) Facial wash – My skin type could consider an Oily T-Zone and from dry to oily skin. Sometimes due to wash of my face, my skin would tends get dries up very easily and tight pulling feel on my cheek area.
I have been using all kind of brands of facial cleansing, none of them suits me well enough. And would hoping this product like “Lab Series SkinCare” can keep my skin free from nasty dirt and oily skin feel and those above issue too.
Like what it said here; “cleanses away dirt and grime while gentle exfoliating beads help smooth dry, patchy skin” was it real?
2) Face Toner / Lotion – Seraching for one which able to gives an extra care and need to my face / skin with moisture and clear looking skin.
Also prefer that can be maintain the last longing moisture in my daily needs to preventing my face getting dry up or Burning feel after using the product.
3) Eye Cream / Gel – A 37 Year Old men like me and a night owl who often staying up late, which need an Eye cream….looking out for a product can keeps away from Puffy Eye Bag, Ugly Dark Circle and Ageing Wrinkle Line…. And to fight signs of aging
If Lab Series SkinCare would able to help me with all the problem above. I will use their product for my lifetime no matter what it cost.
Q. What are the factors that you take into consideration when buying a skincare product?
Answer:
For me, there are 2 very important factor to consider.
1) The skincare product must be good, effective and suitable for my skin. It is very important to find a skincare product that is suitable for my skin when I purchase the product. As most of us has different types of skin. So, there are many different solutions and types of product for each type of skin. In result, when I get a suitable product, it should give me self-esteem and confidences about myself.
2) PRICE!!!! It will always be a factor when it comes to buying anything. But at the end of the day, people will spend the money if it is really worth the value.
I just deleted a loooong wordy entry. Why?
Skincare should be simple and so should be my response.
I want cost-effective, natural skincare that does what it says, smells good or has no smell (because I don’t want people to smell me before they see me), uses no harsh unnecessary chemicals, isn’t tested on animals, and can help streamline my regimen my serving more than one function.
Thank you for the opportunity to win!
