This year marked the introduction of the first-ever Maifest in Singapore courtesy of Erdinger, and over the last weekend, thousands of revellers indulged in traditional German food and drink to celebrate this old festival.

This two-night event gave fans of Erdinger an occasion to indulge in merry-making and revelry with people from all walks of life. As the crowd savoured variations of the premium Erdinger wheat beer paired with authentic German food, they were also entertained with performances by Ois Easy, a septet German band specially flown in to Singapore for this Maifest.

To mark this special occasion, Erdinger treated festival-goers with an exclusive sampling of their Erdinger Pikantus, a dark bock beer with a strong, spicy taste. Along with Erdinger Weissbier and Dunkel were German delicacies. Pork knuckle, schnitzel and bratwursts were just some of the favourites at Maifest. Not to be missed at Maifest was the Maibaum, or Maypole, a five-metre pole decorated with colourful ribbons, around which the joyous crowd danced with friends, families and other revellers alike.
