For people who meet me who the first time, I give off a goody-two-shoes vibe, but I’m an adrenaline junkie. I love my motorcycles and cars.
A man of substance is...
Someone who is comfortable and confident with who he is, and is not.
What should an August Man not be caught dead wearing in your opinion?
As long as you’re dressing appropriately for the occasion, I believe anything goes. So shorts and flip flops for the beach, a formal suit for a wedding dinner. You should understand what suits your body.
What is something many people might not know about you?
For people who meet me who the first time, I give off a goody-two-shoes vibe, but I’m an adrenaline junkie. I love my motorcycles and cars.
Name a woman you find hot or appealing.
Nicole Kidman. I believe in timeless beauty, and she’s looked good throughout the years. She’s poised and carries herself very well. If my wife looks that good in her 40s, I’ll be a happy man.
I really want…
To live life to the fullest. I don’t want to live life with regrets. Life is short, so play hard, because it’s here to be enjoyed. Saving money is important, but it’s also made to be spent.
What would your last meal be?
A good piece of steak of medium doneness.
Most thrilling travel experience?
Three of my friends and I made a trip on our motorbikes up the North-South highway when I was 21 or so. The plan was to ride to Hat Yai in record time. We were halfway on the trip close to Ipoh and were going around a bend at 160 km/h on a two-lane road with a concrete barrier. Suddenly, the first rider crashed into the barrier and fell off the bike. The bike was skidding, riderless. The second rider accelerated to avoid the bike, but veered off and smashed into it. I was the third rider and fortunately escaped harm. The first guy had three broken ribs and the second had some serious scrapes. Thankfully it was in the early morning with little traffic, otherwise it could have been a lot worse. After we recuperated, we did make it to Hay Yai on a later trip.
Any ideas on how to help single people get together?
Many of my female friends always complain about the typical Singaporean guy. Many Singaporean men are not confident enough and not comfortable with the fairer sex. When they approach women they either try too hard or say something stupid. I’ve always joked with my friends that a grooming school for men needs to be set up to teache men how to dress, how to carry themselves and how to speak.
What’s your biggest fear?
Needles, I really hate them. Another is not being able to do all that I want to do before I die.
I shall gather more votes by…
Being myself. I’m a genuine person and what you see is what you get.
