AM: Tell us one thing you’re really good at.
OS: I’m good at cooking Mole... have you heard of a chilli sauce made with chocolate? You’re more than welcome to come and dine at my place one of these days.
AM: What do you get up to on your weekends?
OS: For me a good weekend is mainly about the company and the right setting. There is an island in Malaysia called Rawa, not far from Mersing. There are two resorts there, one of which is kind of rustic. The perfect place to spend a simple but extremely relaxing weekend with friends, eating tasty local food at the beach, lighting fires at night and just enjoying.
AM: What was one thing you did recently that surprised yourself?
OS: Last year, I ran the Singapore marathon without training. I was a little overweight at the time, and some people were making fun of me, thinking I would faint. My pride was stronger than that and I managed to prove that attitude, will and commitment are stronger than anything else.
AM: What are three favourite fashion items?
OS: My cowboy boats. If I wear them in Mexico, people would probably tease me as drug lords always wear them but in Asia, I can wear them without being judged. I also like polo t-shirts, such as the ones from Shanghai Tang. Most importantly would be a proper tailor-made shirt. If it fits right, it will always look good.
AM: Who, or what, is your muse in life?
OS: Dorothy Boyd from Jerry Maguire.
AM: The four things that matter to me most are...
OS: Family, my friends, personal health and global stability.
