G-Star RAW opened its largest global flagship store in Hong Kong amidst much fanfare. Situated in the famous Times Square area in Causeway Bay, the event was graced by several big names including American Grammy nominee Skylar Grey, Australian actress Gracie Otto and Australian model Alexandra Agoston; Hong Kong’s cantopop superstar, Aaron Kwok also made an appearance. The largest G-Star store in the world, the flagship in Causeway Bay has over 680 square meters of shop space. Over the last few years, the brand has expanded rapidly, increasing the number of stores in Tokyo, New York, Sydney and Los Angeles. G-Star also celebrated the opening of its 300th store at Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles last year. The opening ceremony highlighted the brand’s core philosophy around unexpected combinations. Featuring a champagne crusher handled by Skylar Grey and Aaron Kwok, a denim curtain revealing a tableaux vivant and, in true Chinese style, a traditional lion dance, guests were also treated to a performance by American singer, songwriter, and record producer, Skylar Grey.
