He’s well-spoken, humorous and very good at evading questions. But Ryan Lin is good-natured and always sharp-witted and just as good at poker as he is at commercial law.

AM: If you could pick up any skill, what would it be, and why?
RL: I would love to learn all languages. It would be wonderful if I could connect to anyone, anywhere.

AM: What’s your greatest regret in life so far?
RL: It’s having thrown up in the cockpit during my Air Force pilot trainee days.

AM: Tell us one thing you’re really good at.
RL: I have been told that I am very intuitive.

RL: My grandfather. He reined in a really wild child.
