Erdem x H&M designer collaboration collection

Late last night, good news came in just in time for the weekend, with the announcement of H&M’s designer collaboration for the year. Renowned for his fluency in womenswear with prints, textiles and delicate craftsmanship filled with historical references and personal narratives of his Turkish and English heritage, designer Erdem Moralioglu’s masterpieces have been seen patronising many red carpets the last few years on celebrities such as Felicity Jones, Gillian Anderson, Lily Collins, Nicole Kidman, Claire Foy and Rosamund Pike. For the collaboration with H&M, which features a special visual film by film director Baz Luhrmann, there will also be a range of menswear pieces available.

The Erdem x H&M collaborative collection will be available in selected stores and online from 2 November onwards.

Heineken 0.0 beer

Is there even a point to beers with 0.0% alcohol content? Whatever the reason, Heineken has recently launched the Heineken 0.0, a twice brewed and fermented beer with the brand’s unique A-yeast and a fruity flavour of slight malty notes; the brand’s attempt to include the non-drinkers in their target market, in a time when the world is trying their hardest to be as inclusive with everyone as possible.

The Bird Southern Table & Bar

The next time you swing by Singapore, make sure to drop by the new The Bird Southern Table & Bar, located at the South Promenade of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Brought to you by Miami’s John Kunkel of the award-winning Yardbird Southern Table & Bar fame, the two-storey 190 seter waterfront restaurant serves up America’s Southern classic dishes, such as the famous 100-year-old recipe Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken, and Singapore-exclusive dishes like the Low Country Laksa. Also available at the restauranteur’s first international outlet is their extensive list of hand-crafted cocktails of the highest quality. These include The Bird’s Old Fashioned with Bacon Infused Bourbon, as well as rare favourites like the Pappy Van Winkle, Jefferson’s Aged at Sea and rare expressions of Blanton’s.

California Typewriter trailer

During the recent years when vintage paraphernalia are making a comeback, the typewriter has got the world scouring every nook and cranny for whichever models they can get their hands on before they disappear from the face of the earth. In this documentary, renowned celebrities like Tom Hanks, John Mayer and David McCullough share their love for the age-old instruments, as well as a visit to the family owned and operated namesake store in Berkeley, California that has been in service since 1949.

Gucci Décor collection

Fans of Gucci and Alessandro Michele’s works, the eclectic collection of the new Gucci Décor features everything you need to level up brand loyalty by customising your living space with a multitude of design motifs reimagined for furniture, furnishings and crockery, from the brand’s “maximalist” fashion catwalks. The influence of the Gucci Garden lexicon is ubiquitous, with flora blooming abundantly and creatures appearing on screens and cushions, as well as patterned crockery and scented candle holders, produced by the renowned Florentine company Richard Ginori founded in 1735. Not only that, four scents for candles and incense sticks – Inventum, Fumus, Herbosum and Esotericum – are developed to cap off your Gucci-inspired space like a perfect bow upon a neatly wrapped present.

The Gucci Décor collection will be launched from September onwards, at Gucci flagship stores and selected specialty stores worldwide, as well as online.
