A momentous juncture that we are in indeed at the end of a 35-year wait, and Johnnie Walker believes that it deserves a commemoration with a limited edition Johnnie Walker Black Label The Director’s Cut. Having already set the tone in the first film, director Denis Villeneuve was invited to work together with Johnnie Walker master blender Jim Beveridge to come up with a futuristic design worthy of Blade Runner 2049.
Limited to only 39,000 bottles worldwide, The Director’s Cut Blend contains 49% alcohol, 9% stronger than the average Black Label whisky.
Happy Socks x The Beatles Yellow Submarine collection
Another collaboration in celebration of the past that is currently available is one that will make your feet look on fleek. The Happiest Sock Brand In The World has put together a six-piece limited edition capsule for their Fall/Winter 2017 collection, paying tribute to The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine album and complementary animation film of the same name from the late 1960s.
Featuring characters and scenes from the movie, such as The Dreadful Flying Glove, Chief Blue Meanie, Pepperland and the Yellow Submarine itself, the collection is sold individually, in a three-pack and six-pack gift boxes designed to resemble a record LP and EP.

The hero we have all been waiting for has arrived. GoPro has recently announced the soon-to-be-released upgraded version of their Hero5, not only with a sleeker design, but a whole lot of heart on the inside.
One of the many highlights of the Hero6 is the QuikStories function, which transfers new photos and videos automatically to your smartphone, and edits the footage automatically into a video using the GoPro custom app, so that by the time you settle down from the day’s adventure, you’re all ready to show off every second of it to your friends on social media.
Laneway Festival Singapore 2018 lineup
This week, the Singapore instalment of the St Jerome’s Laneway Festival has also revealed next year’s lineup. Happening on 27 January at The Meadow in Gardens by the Bay. Renowned for its lineup of the newest and freshest seminal musicians, next year will see the likes of Wolf Alice and Bonobo from the UK, The War On Drugs and Father John Misty from the US, as well as Aldous Harding and Amy Shark from the Australasia, where the festival first came to be. Wonder Wheel trailer
Your next favourite Woody Allen film will hit the screens on 1 December, on the same day as the quirky director’s 82nd birthday. Set in an amusement park at Coney Island in the late 1950s, Wonder Wheel tells the story of a carousel operator’s wife Ginny (played by Kate Winslet), who causes quite a stir in the amusement park when she catches the affections of Mickey (played by Justin Timberlake). The plot thickens when Ginny’s husband’s estranged daughter Carolina (played by Juno Temple) shows up – and decides to set her sights on Mickey as well.
