Justin Timberlake Super Bowl LII Halftime show
The most talked about music performance this week was, of course, Justin Timberlake’s during the 52nd Super Bowl Halftime at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, where the Philadelphia Eagles came out as champions after defeating the New England Patriots.
Whether if you were one for the medley performance, which included a quick tribute to Prince, or if you were against his custom Stella McCartney outfit – the popstar is the one laughing all the way to the bank, what with the coinciding launch of his newest studio album, Man of the Woods, as well as his 37th birthday, just a few days prior.
Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer
The much anticipated trailer for the Han Solo film has finally dropped this week, following the game spot teaser during the Super Bowl last Sunday. On May 25, Alden Ehrenreich finally takes over the reins from Harrison Ford as the renowned outlaw, as the second Star Wars anthology film goes back to the early days when Solo was still a young ‘un, and he has but just met his lifetime partner Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo), and Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover).
Three Minutes short film by Peter Chan
The Chinese New Year short film ad campaign that caught the world’s attention this year, is one concocted by award-winning director Peter Chan, shot entirely using the latest iPhone X. Based on a true story set in China, the story revolves around a mother who works aboard the train that runs from Nanning to Harbin, and who has to leave her son under her sister’s care. Whilst she is responsible to usher the passengers off the train in time for Chinese New Year, she has but three minutes to spend with her son.
FashionValet’s #IPunNak campaign for men
It goes without saying that currently, it’s a woman’s world: the world reached its 100th year since the British Women’s Suffragette Movement in voting equality, coinciding with the recent #MeToo Movement that protests on speaking up against sexual harassment and assault. However, with Valentine’s Day coming up next week, FashionValet thought it would be nice to give the opposite sex a little loving for a change.
The #IPunNak (which means “I Want It Too” in Malay) campaign hopes to persuade women to shop for their men to show appreciation that they deserve and crave for. From now till March 16, not only has FashionValet stocked up more menswear brands, such as Pestle & Mortar, Robotto, Private Stitch, Cape Cod, FattahaminxFar8, Fipper, Ice Watch, East India Company and Jovian Men, customers may treat their other half to lifestyle gifts from The BIG Group, La Juiceria, Tanjong Golden Village, Firestation and Fuel Athletics. Not to mention, travel goodies from Ritz Carlton and AirAsia – so that you can “nak” too!
