As part of August Man Malaysia’s 10-year anniversary celebration as well as to champion an active, healthy lifestyle among Malaysians, August Man Malaysia inaugurated the 12km August Man Run on 22 October 2017, held at Lot 10 Shopping Centre.

Around 1,000 participants of all ages and genders gathered at the starting point on Jalan Sultan Ismail before the 6.45am flag-off time. They got behind the sporty Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 which was tasked with being the lead car, while a Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 was displayed at the concourse facing the stage and VVIP area.

Runners included celebrities such as Keith Foo and August Man A-Listers Captain Imran Tom, Dr Alan Tan, Dr Renard Siew, Hazwan Yazit, Jeremy Hoo, Peter Chin and Peter Khue.

There were four categories: men’s open, women’s open, men’s veterans and women’s veterans.

The first-ever August Man Run was a fun-filled event with plenty of prizes, goody bags, hampers given out to participants, courtesy of the following sponsors and partners: BeeAble Wellness, Celebrity Fitness, Technogym distributed by Dynaforce International, e-SUEN, Garnier, G.H. Mumm, Lapiz, Lot 10, Mercedes-Benz, Moschino, Nivea, Red Bull, Salonpas, Saucony, Spritzer, Starbucks, Suunto and YTL Hotels, who made the event a success.

As part of Hubert Burda Media Malaysia’s CSR effort, participants were treated to nasi lemak specially prepared by The Nasi Lemak Project, a social enterprise dedicated to helping families in need.
