If you can’t bear the 13-hour flight to Germany to be part of the annual beer festival but still want to be part of the festivities, you’ll be glad to know that numerous watering holes in Singapore organise Oktoberfest events. Here’s the pick of the best.

Erdinger Oktoberfest 2016

Oktoberfest is rolling into town once again and Erdinger, the largest German largest brewer will be offering top quality Bavarian beer. Check out Clarke Quay Central, Suntec City and The Star Vista Plaza, where Erdinger will be hosting a vibrant street party, fun filled activities, beer garden and performing live a German brass band. Participating malls will also have booths offering a selection of unique beers including the special edition Edinger Oktoberfest Brew. Keep a lookout for Singapore’s first-ever Erdinger Barcycle, a 15-seater mobile countertop bar that will be making its rounds. Hop on and savour four types of Erdinger wheat beer.

Brotzeit VivoCity’s annual Oktoberfest celebration is amongst Singapore’s best-loved beer fest and this year’s 10th anniversary edition promises to be all that and more. Delicious traditional German spread with Bratwurst, sauerkraut, roasted chicken, pork knuckles to be washed down with the best beers worthy of Oktoberfest. In Singapore, Brotzeit is celebrating with the iconic once-a-year brew: Spatenbräu Oktoberfest Ur-Märzen ($15 for 0.5L and $28 for 1L), an amber-coloured and roasted malt flavoured beer, harking back to the days when Oktoberfest beers were in fact the last aged barrels of summer beers made in March (Märzen bier).

Prost! Resort World Sentosa 1st Oktoberfest 2016
