Rawa Island, Johor

Rebak Island is unfamiliar to many but it is the sole exclusive resort on the 390-acre island that gives it away – Vivanta by Taj. The five-star resort has plenty to offer, but you’re free to soak up the vitamin D, take a swim in its azure waters or simply enjoy the view of the bay.

Tengah Island, Johor

Another island with a five-star resort is Tengah Island, a mostly uninhabited one, save for the Batu Batu Resort. It is actually located right in between the town of Mersing, Johor and Rawa Island. The selling point — this place is home to eight private beaches and a 3km stretch of pure white sand right at the front of the resort.
Speaking of the resort, it only has one and two bedroom villas in limited quantities so if you do visit, you’re in for a truly undisturbed vacay.
