From Christmas in 2015 with Katy Perry, to a Wes Anderson-esque one in 2016 with Adrien Brody, to the one last year with Nicki Minaj and Jesse Williams, H&M ups its festive game this year with the fictional Hotel Mauritz, a cosy lodge amidst an alpine setting of gentle snow falling on pine trees, as the hotel guests count down to the New Year.
In the fifth of the six-episode mini series which was just released today, amongst the guests are model and musician Adonis Bosso, and Aubrey Plaza, who is renowned for her TV roles in Parks and Recreation and Legion, as well as comedic films like Life After Beth, Dirty Grandpa and Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, holed up in a setting that boasts a galaxy of stars, providing the perfect setting for H&M’s endlessly versatile holiday collection.
Whether you are planning to spend the holiday season decadently, dancing to a disco beat, or cosying up in super-soft heirloom knitwear, there are plenty of seasonal pieces of entice, even if you are seeking inspiration for gifts for friends and family. For men, there are retro alpine intarsias, graphic Fair Isle patterns and indulgent wool-mix roll- and shawl-neck sweaters that offer a welcome break from the social whirl.
In conjunction with the Christmas campaign, Hotel Mauritz debuts as an exclusive Christmas gift shop, in the newly refurbished H&M flagship store at Lot 10, featuring a wide range of specially curated gifts for this coming Christmas – for your loved ones and even for yourself, until December 30.
The now brighter and more spacious flagship store has been extended till midnight until Christmas Eve, December 24, with special weekend lucky draws, in which any purchase within the store entitles customers a chance to win a mystery gift at the Hotel Mauritz pigeon hole drawers.
Besides that, H&M customers may aspire to decorate their homes this festive season akin to that at Hotel Mauritz with the H&M Home collection that provides a warm and inviting setting for the holiday celebrations via two different styles.
The cosy and rustic range that is inspired by the winter landscape bring the winter wonderland atmosphere inside: winter white chunky knits, prints inspired by the flora and fauna of a wintry forest with deer and pine branches, and natural materials such as linen, jute and wood. Alongside these are traditional patterns of stripes and checks, fake fur and fresh modern reds, creating a traditional yet contemporary setting to the holiday celebrations.
For those who prefer a more glamourous setting to the celebrations, H&M Home features another spectrum of homeware range influenced by the elegance of an urban holiday. Luxury is key as the collection is dominated by golden and amber hues, along with materials such as fake fur, velvet, brass and bronze.
The H&M Home collection is now available at H&M outlets located at Avenue K, Quill City, IOI Putrajaya and Spring Kuching.
