The opening of the high fashion, multi-brand retailer Dover Street Market Singapore over the weekend includes Southeast Asia’s first NikeLab space, showcasing a curated collection and limited editions that express the intersection of sport, design, and culture – all in Nike’s attempt to interact and collaborate with other innovators as part of its larger journey of exploration.
NikeLab Singapore takes inspiration from its prized product design, and combines elevated aesthetics with minimal environmental impact. The construction of the space features Nike’s core design principles: lightweight functionality and modularity, where less is more in terms of the fixtures and materials used for the space, so to better focus on the tailored assortment of exclusives, such as the collaborations with Acronym, Commes des Garcons, Ricardo Tisci and UNDERCOVER.
The new NikeLab instalment will gravitate around the highly anticipated NikeLab x Pigalle capsule collection, in which founder Stéphane Ashpool portrays the evolution of ‘90s basketball in his ongoing collaboration with the brand. Every garment is produced to consider on- and off-court wear, whilst delivering easy Parisian street style elegance to silhouettes with authentic hard-court connections.
Besides that, NikeLab Singapore will also carry the NikeCraft Mars Yard 2.0 by Tom Sachs, and the CLOT x Nike Air VaporMax – two of NikeLab’s latest creative redesigns of Nike’s iconic silhouettes.
NikeLab Singapore is located within the premise of the new Dover Street Market Singapore at 18 Dempsey Road.
