The basis of Louis Vuitton creative director Virgil Abloh‘s collection for SS19 and FW19 was the late pop singer Michael Jackson. In LV’s SS19 fashion show, Abloh debuted his menswear collection with reference to Michael Jackson’s “We are the world”. He used the colours white, brown and yellow to signify the nationalities around the world. During the FW19 fashion week, other than flag-printed outerwear, Abloh weaved elements of Michael Jackson’s crystal beaded jackets and his iconic “Thriller” jacket into his collection pieces too.
