Belgian actor Matthias Schoenaerts may not ring a bell with many but after this year’s Louis Vuitton spring/summer campaign, it’s a guarantee you’re going to see him around plenty more. The Belgian Brando as he is known, first made his appearance in 2011’s Bullhead and 2012’s Rust and Bone, alongside Marion Cotillard.

His appearance in Louis Vuitton’s latest campaign is sure to win him fans across the pond though. Inspired by the iconic “gentleman traveller”, the campaign sees Schoenaerts carrying the Sirius and Cabas East/West bags with the Arizonian Glen Canyon dam as the backdrop. Looking both rugged and stylish, Schoenaerts is an ode to the man on the move and a tribute to masculine style. Shot by Mikael Jansson, the new collection sees an Americana influence with earthy hues.
