Danish manufacturer Bang & Olufsen, which is renowned for its high-end audio equipment, has branched out into the lucrative sports headphones market with its first-ever sports earbuds: the Beoplay E8 Sport earbuds.




Beoplay E8 Sport has been designed to cater to the varying needs of athletes and fitness enthusiasts alike. For instance, its lightweight and ergonomically shaped earbuds – that come with silicone ear tips and soft fins – give an optimized fit for the user during his/her vigorous workout. Not to mention, the Beoplay E8 Sport also has a slim silicone case for easy -handling and -storage that fits perfectly in run shorts or gym bags.
With an IP57 certification, the Beoplay E8 Sport earbuds guarantees to be dust-proof and water-resistant at a depth of up to one meter for a period of 30 minutes. As for its battery life, one full charge will give approximately around seven hours of playtime. The earbuds are also equipped with a wireless charging case added with a quick-charge feature that can give an additional 90 minutes of usage from just a 20-minute charge. This would essentially give all users a wholly 30 hours of playtime (and workout tunes).
That’s not all, though. The Beoplay E8, which is compatible with Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive Bluetooth codec, has enough power to reach a maximum volume of 107 dB. It also boasts both Bang & Olufsen’s Beosonic functions and transparency mode, depending on the sound users prefer to tune in to during their workout.
It goes without saying; by branching out into audio equipment for the sports segment, Bang & Olufsen comes up against brands such as Apple, Jabra, Beats and Anker. The Danish brand’s product, however, does not fall short. After all, Bang & Olufsen owns a reputation for high-quality and top-notch sounds. To that end, nowadays a good sound does not come cheap.
