We find out more about the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite from Nicholas Shi, the country manager of the brand for Malaysia and Singapore.
As someone stylish and modern, how high would you rate the importance of aesthetics in a smartphone? We’ll guess the answer lies somewhere around 7, compromised if only by prices and technology. It’s hard to find a smartphone these days that ticks all the boxes. The new Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite will surprise you.
Xiaomi sits on an international stage with the big players in lifestyle tech. What sets it apart however, is the affordability of its products that continue to meet cutting-edge technology. The company offers everyday users the convenience of a home and lifestyle connected by a platform known as Internet of Things (loT).
In the fourth quarter of 2020, Xiaomi ranked 3rd worldwide for the highest smartphones shipments. In the same year — and for the second time — the internet company made the Fortune Global 500 list. These incredible wins are the result of high quality that meet honest prices, tucked into gadgets like a lightweight 157 grams smartphone in the palm of your hand: the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite.
August Man Malaysia speaks to Mr Nicolas Shi, country manager of Xiaomi in Malaysia and Singapore. He notes its elegant mirrored glass panel: “The first thing you’ll notice with the Mi 11 Lite is how sleek and clean the smartphone is designed.”
Indeed, it measures at just 6.81mm in thickness. Not to worry about its durability, as the phone is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass made to withstand damage from everyday drops and scratches.
Sporting the Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G with an 8nm manufacturing process technology and LiquidCool, the device is able to continuously deliver a peak level of performance — even during long gaming sessions.
“We believe that a premium smartphone needs to firstly be equipped with the latest and highest specs for a smartphone,” shares Mr Shi. “With the Mi 11 Series, we offer our users our latest innovations with the best in-class features and specs.”
The smartphone also confidently carries Xiaomi’s well-deserved reputation for exceptional cameras with a triple rear camera array, encompassing the main 64MP 8MP ultra-wide angle, and a telemacro 5MP. For selfies, the Mi 11 Lite is proud to present a 16MP front camera with updated filters and editing abilities.
A 6.55” AMOLED DotDisplay with 10-bit TrueColor support produces 1.07 billion colours, allowing for a seamless transition between hues from every angle of the phone’s display. Responsiveness comes at lightning spread with a 90Hz refresh and 240Hz touch sampling rate. Top the satisfaction of a seamless experience off with an immersive Hi-Res sound system — using the Mi 11 Lite is smooth as silk.
“Xiaomi is more than just a smartphone company. We want our customers to have a full internet connected experience,” Mr Shi says.
“Connected homes, automated systems, and new technology are helping people create ecosystems within their homes to solve new challenges presented by increased time at home; whether it’s adapting or creating new uses for old spaces, such as office space or classrooms, or just creating a home that is easier to manage and control.”
Finally, the Mi 11 Lite comes in enticing shades such as Boba Black, Bubblegum Blue and Peach Pink.
Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite is priced at RM1,199 for the 8GB+128GB variant. The smartphone is available for purchase through Xiaomi’s official stores on Lazada and Shopee, as well as at Authorised Mi Stores and other official retailers in Malaysia.
