Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is a man with many trades. Besides being an actor and an entrepreneur that has most recently founded his own tequila business, he has a longstanding collaboration with athleticwear brand, Under Armour. The line, titled Project Rock, has recently released a pair of wireless earbuds with JBL designed specifically for working out, and damn if they aren’t some of the coolest in-ear headphones we’ve seen so far.

  • The sweatproof Project Rock True Wireless In-Ear Headphones feature winged ear tips that keep them secure, whether you’re doing box jumps or bench presses. Because it is backed by a true gym junkie, you can trust that every True Wireless pair comes outfitted with technology that is welcome by anyone who believes in working out as much as The Rock does.

We particularly appreciate the UA Talkthru function, which enables the noise-cancelling microphone to be turned on while the music is turned down so you can conversate as you train without having to take the earphones in and out. Also, the True Wireless In-Ear Headphones is designed with another innovation called Ambient Aware. It ensures that you are still cognizant of your surroundings, no matter how loud the music gets, so you can feel safe donning them while biking or running on the roads.

As for music quality, expect only the best as The Rock mandated heavy bass and bold music to drive you through your sets.

Apart from the A+ specifications, you get a seriously sleek design. The headphones themselves are all black, but detailed with the Project Rock bull skull emblem in gold on the tips. The charging case also comes in gold, offering 20 full hours of charge and the constant reminder of The Rock’s words to live by — “Blood, sweat, respect”.

The UA True Wireless Flash Project Rock Edition is available for pre-order here.
