In conjunction with the Spring 2018 season, Kris Van Assche, explores a casual re-interpretation of the tropes of a Dior Homme suit.  Playing on the urban pairing of straight leg-5 pocket jeans with denim shirt and jacket styles, the creative director explores the idea of ‘double denim,’ underpinned by the classic style of a crisp shirt and a silk necktie. Enhancing the look is the iconic silver-embossed black leather ‘Dior’ logo tag, presented as an external embellishment, appearing on shirting, jacket and jeans.

The collection showcases an array of treatments from raw indigo to vintage black and bleached washes, while also elevating traditional workwear through engineered cuts and details that include sheepskin collars and snap-stud buttons. There are graphic elements to it, with the season’s club kid slogans appearing as DIY screen-printed details . The new roses embroidery is used as a bold shoulder patch on slim bousons. Overall, the look is slim and relaxed, with sleeveless gilet shapes for layering, while maintaining a balance of clean distressed finishing.  To celebrate the launch, special pieces customised with London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo initials are exclusively available in seven pop-up stores across the world.

The Dior Homme DIOR DENIM collection is available at Dior Homme boutique at Suria, KLCC
