Heads up: Gucci will be releasing its latest spring/summer 2020 collection live from Milan on 22 September 2019, at 4pm CET (10pm Singapore and Malaysia time).

For Fall 2019, creative director Alessandro Michele produced a collection that defied the boundaries of gender. Women appeared in slim-cut suits while men were clad in floral designed vest and bottoms with laced innerwear. Beyond that, his collection was vibrant and bold too; some were matched with multi-coloured fox-furred scarves, and others had intentionally unfinished outerwear. The models’ Venetian half-masks also added a touch of Rennaisance flair to his pieces – it’s where the style of the modern world meets the style of the Phantom of the Opera – and it was beautiful.

What will Michele look to defy this time with his collection? Tune in to find out. Meanwhile, take a look at our previous spring/summer 2020 Runway Report here in three parts – I, II, and III.
