This season, Hermès goes straight to delighting one of the important senses—sight—and with it, eye-catching colours such as yellow and purple. Through its miscellany of lightness, quintessential vêtement-objet, colour euphoria and clever execution of playful overlapping, changing effects, micro-patterns and tie-dye, Hermès has created an imagery of fun. In particular, its popping sulphur yellow shade, which leads the way with pieces comprising jacket, cardigan, weekend bag and trousers. The iconic beige trench coat is given a lift by being paired with a limocello shirt worn underneath. Even an austere goatskin T-shirt is rejuvenated with a dose of citrus yellow.
