For Timberland’s Spring Summer 2020, the brand builds upon its forward-thinking Nature Needs Heroes campaign by adhering to its long-standing commitment to create products responsibly steadily increasing its use of recycled, organic and renewable materials.

The latest eco-conscious casualwear release is inspired by the carefree culture of 1980s Miami. The Spring Summer 2020 collection features airy silhouettes and light fabrics in energizing pastels. Utilizing innovative and sustainable fabric technologies such as the ReBOTL™ lining that is made from at least 50 percent recycled polyester. Another material, the premium leather has also been sourced and audited by the Leather Working Group (LWG) Silver-rated tanneries for their exceptional energy savings, chemical management, and waste and water treatment practices.

Key items include the Jackson’s Landing Moc Toe Oxford, which takes the traditional boat shoe and modernises it with a premium leather upper, a hand-sewn approach to construction, ReBOTL™ lining, a TrueCloud™ comfort foam footbed for that lasting, pillow-like cushioning, and a GripStick™ lug outsole which uses a specially blended, eco-conscious rubber compound for traction on slippery surfaces. Meanwhile, the Urban Exit Knit Boat Oxford boasts sustainable construction from heel to toe thanks to a ReBOTL™ knit upper and lining, an eco-friendly and moisture-wicking OrthoLite® footbed, and TimberGrip™ traction technology made with 50 percent bio-based content on the outsole.
