The Japanese values of simplicity, quality and longevity of UNIQLO finally meet head on with the signature bold and graphic designs of the British classics brand JW Anderson, in a collaborative collection that is universal and quirky.

The 33-piece collection, which will be released in UNIQLO stores worldwide, and online, embodies the shared vision of the two brands in offering elegance, simplicity, timeless comfort and individuality through UNIQLO’s LifeWear range, drawing inspirations from the uniforms, workwear and sportswear of the British Isles origins.

With the combination of Irish designer Jonathan Anderson’s energy, creativity and traditional touches, and UNIQLO’s fit, fabrics and functionality, comes notable classics like the double-breasted belted trench coat with tartan lining, the wool blended quilted jacket of faux leather patch, the Fair Isle sweater, and the striped scarf – all of which carry the distinctive anchor logo of JW Anderson.

Besides that, the East-meets West range also incorporates traditional British materials with UNIQLO’s trademark fabrics: tweed coats in signature herringbone patterns, shirts of extra fine cotton materials, knits in extra fine Merino, and tartan patterns upon the likes of down jackets, shirts and padded tote bags.

The colder seasons are pretty much at bay, as the collection features UNIQLO’s HeatTech technology weaved within items such as the scarves and down jackets with ribbed cuffs and zipper tape, whereas long coats and jackets with contemporary button and waist belt styling come with slim and sophisticated silhouettes that allow stylish layering without the wearer coming off looking puffed up.

The UNIQLO x JW Anderson Fall/Winter 2017 collection will be available in UNIQLO stores worldwide, and online from 22 September onwards.
