Whether it’s to Phuket or Sentosa, a short break is a good way to escape city life. But that’s no reason to press the pause button on your grooming routine, especially if you’re intending to spend more time outdoors. In case you’ve forgotten, the tropical heat and humidity can induce excessive perspiration and sebum production, possibly clogging the pores and causing breakouts.
And if you’re going to be doing water sports, constant exposure to sea water and whipping winds can cause the skin’s surface to weaken and dehydrate, making it more vulnerable to sun damage. From premature ageing to cancer, the list of sun-related wreckage can be extensive and worse still, permanent.
Does that mean we should wear rash guards and carry umbrellas before we head to Boracay, then? You could, but we recommend packing these skin saviours in your toiletries bag instead – to heal, protect and provide relief to your skin.
