Bulova

The Bulova Lunar Pilot Chronograph, which comes under Bulova’s Archive Series, was inspired by the original watch Bulova made for David Scott, an astronaut and commander of the Apollo 15 mission in 1971. Scott wore this watch when he landed on the moon.

The Lunar Pilot Chronograph is aesthetically similar to the original watch but with enhanced functionality. It is powered by an exclusive high-performance quartz movement with a frequency of 262 kHz as well as super-luminous hands and markers, tachymeter, and calendar in a 316L stainless steel case.

There’s also a choice of bracelets: a stainless steel version or a set with two interchangeable straps—a black nylon with nubuck leather patch and a textured black leather.

Hublot

Partnering with current world no. 1 golfer Dustin Johnson, Hublot unveils the golf-centric chronograph-style Big Bang Unico Golf.

The automatic HUB1580 movement is dedicated to seamlessly calculate the score whilst on the golf course. The putter-shaped pusher at two o’clock activates the mechanism for displaying the number of strokes taken and counts the strokes per hole.

The pusher at four o’clock allows the wearer to move on to the next hole by resetting the stroke counter to zero. The counter at six o’clock displays the total number of strokes played and is simultaneously updated. The pusher at eight o’clock is shaped like a tee. This resets the mechanism and sets the counters to zero at the end of the round.

Oris

The hand-wound Oris Artelier Calibre 113 features a 10-day power reserve, a patented non-linear power reserve indicator and a small second.

In addition, Oris has included a business calendar complication. The date is told by an aperture at nine o’clock. Followed by the day of the week by a small window at 12 o’clock. Finally a red-tipped hand circles around the dial to point out the month and the week of the year.

A few variants of the 43mm watch are available. The one shown here consists of an opaline silver dial with applied nickel indices and numerals and polished nickel hands. Other options include Louisiana crocodile straps of different colours and a stainless steel bracelet.

Rado

Rado teams up with Swiss design studio Big-Game to produce the True Phospho: a limited-edition timepiece featuring Big-Game’s signature design applied onto one of Rado’s most popular watch families.

Housed in a 40mm matte black high-tech ceramic case with matching bracelet, the Rado True Phospho is limited to 1,003 pieces—1,000 for the general public, and one for each of the designers.

The black brass dial is perforated, allowing the Swiss automatic movement below to shine through—a thoroughly modern approach to the traditional skeleton watch. The watch is powered by an 11 ½ ETA C07.631 automatic movement with 80 hours of power reserve.

The special engraving on the caseback reads “limited edition by Big-Game one out of 1003”.

Tissot

With a choice of a vintage-inspired stainless steel bracelet such as the one pictured here, a luxuriously smooth or crocodile-style black leather strap, or even a trendy navy-coloured NATO strap, the star of the Tissot Everytime Swissmatic is the brand’s eponymous automatic movement with three days of power reserve.

The calibre is newly introduced by Tissot and manufactured in an automated process that allows the brand to keep the cost down, and hence, the price tag of the Tissot Everytime Swissmatic affordable. The 40mm watch is home to a 316L solid stainless steel case, which is paired with a minimalist white dial crafted with simplicity and elegance in mind.

Alternatively, there is a rose gold PVD-coated version.

Luminox

Luminox’s Navy SEAL 3500 Series has always been known for its affordability, durability and a fantastic range of styles and colours.

The quartz-driven Navy SEAL Trident 3501.BO, however, has toned down the palette for a muted approach. The 45mm case is made of a tried and tested carbon compound with a uni-directional bezel for an underwater excursion.

Water resistant to 200m, the crown is of the double-security gasket variant and the caseback is securely screwed on to prevent water from seeping into the case. Like all Luminox watches, the Navy SEAL Trident 3501.BO houses its signature LLT illumination glass tubes consisting of a mix of orange and ice blue colours that can last up to 25 years.
