Designed with the modern man on the move in mind, the new AIKON Venturer collection by Maurice Lacroix boasts a distinctively urban style that is at once sporty, dapper and bold. The automatic watch with three hands and a date function features a sophisticated 43mm design in polished and satin-finished stainless steel, and a functional ceramic bezel with six arms – a powerful characteristic of the AIKON – engraved with 10-minute intervals, a feature that makes it a genuine tool watch.

The sporty-chic aesthetic of the watch is further enhanced with a bi-colour palette consisting of yellow gold plating and deep anchor blue. This combination gives a premium vintage 1980s look to the ensemble. Engraved in the centre of the case-back is the “M” logo, surrounded by a “Vagues du Jura” motif alluding to the rolling hills of the Swiss valley. Allowing you to transition from business to leisure seamlessly, the AIKON Venturer is fitted with an Easychange quick strap change system. What’s more, for the first time, the AIKON Venturer features bronze, made from a special alloy that can be given a patina or browned without oxidizing. To increase the functional purpose of this metal, which is virtually synonymous with a tool watch and as such perfectly suited to the Venturer, Maurice Lacroix has finished it with a deep green sunray-brushed dial.

This is also the colour given to the rubber strap with grooves that add texture to the piece. Thanks to the Easychange system, the green rubber strap can be easily swapped for a vintage brown calfskin leather version with ecru topstitching. The ceramic bezel of this piece comes in matching brown, with the six hour-marker arms remaining true to the Venturer’s signature style. Fitted with the ML 115 automatic movement, the watch is available in a limited edition of 500 pieces.

The AIKON Venturer continues its exploration of global cities with the addition of a dual time zone. Alternating between black and steel, the AIKON Venturer GMT features a fourth 24-hour GMT hand in striking red, allowing users to keep track of the time in two cities. Powered by the ML 165 automatic chronograph calibre, the 43m watch is fitted with a unidirectional ceramic bezel calibrated over 24 hours to accompany the fourth hand. Adding a more sophisticated appeal to the jetset-friendly design is a black sunray-brushed dial, punctuated by round hour-markers, circled and coated with Super-LumiNova. In keeping with the spirit of travel, the Venturer GMT’s case-back is engraved with a world map, surrounded by the 24 main time zones, a practical information base for reference. Like the aforementioned Venturers, the GMT version has an integrated five-link steel strap fitted with the Easychange system, which makes it easily interchangeable with a rubber strap in black for a sportier look.
