Malaysian race car driver Weiron Tan becomes the first Friend of the Brand in South East Asia for Corum’s Admiral Cup watch collection. Weiron, who entered motor racing at the age of 13 in the Malaysian karting scene, is the first Malaysian to win an American race in US soil.

After a successful year one of his career, Weiron was fast tracked through to Europe where he was pitched against the top young talents from around the globe.
In 2011, Weiron’s performances caught the attention of the Caterham F1 team who signed him onto their young driver programme. After learning his single-seater craft in 2012, Weiron graduated into the Protyre Formula Renault Championship in 2013 where he scored multiple wins, pole positions and podiums on his way to becoming Vice Champion.
2014 saw Weiron continue his development in the German F3 Championship where he continued to impress; scoring multiple podiums and wins as a rookie. 2015 saw Weiron take his motor racing career to the US with Andretti Autosport where he won on his race debut, making Weiron Malaysia’s most successful motor racing driver of his time.
After a successful rookie year on the Road to Indy programme in 2015, Weiron is continuing in the Pro Mazda Championship in 2016 with title winning outfit Team Pelfrey.
This association will see Corum break into the world of motor racing thus opening up the brand to a whole new world of fans.
