Are you excited for the 2018/2019 season of the English Premier League set to commence this weekend? The folks at TAG Heuer certainly are.
In conjunction with the new season, the Swiss watch brand, which is also the Red Devils’ Official Timekeeper, has released two new models to mark the third year of their partnership.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Heuer 01 Manchester United is an automatic model recognisable by its open-worked dial and an eye-catching perforated red rubber strap.
The 43mm chronograph has its small seconds subdial stamped with the club’s emblem. The sapphire caseback also highlights the famous Manchester United red devil decal logo.
A smattering of red colour pops up on the hands and flange. The rest of the chronograph follows a streamlined, modern, contemporary design as one expects from a Carrera Heuer.
On the other hand, the second model – TAG Heuer Formula 1 Manchester United – is priced more modestly.
The chronograph is powered by a Swiss quartz movement, in line with the Formula 1 collection.
In terms of design, the 43mm chronograph has a solid caseback with a special engraved Manchester United logo. The cool factor lies in the SuperLuminova coating. Typically a Formula 1 chronograph uses a customary white SuperLuminova, but here, it is red and in abundance.
The chronograph’s hours hand waltzes on a subdial with an embossed Manchester United logo.
Both watches are made with the club’s identity in mind. They should complement the new home kit well. The question is which will you be getting?
Or will Paul Pogba still be around when the transfer window shuts tomorrow?
