While the list has been extremely skewed toward male runners, do note that there are still plenty of women who can and will outrun you. One of them is Sue, who is also a Nike running coach, and triathlete. A former banker, she has also represented Malaysia in a number of international events.

10. Prabudass Krishnan

Prabudass madde headlines when he spent his own money to participate in the SEA Games. The lance corporal in the navy holds the honour as the first Malaysian to run 5,000m in under 15 minutes. However, it’s probably not surprising as his father, G. Krishnan was also a national athlete who won medals back in the 80’s.

Honorary mention: Steven Chan

That’s right, the managing director of Burda Luxury Malaysia is also an avid runner – as can be seen via his Instagram handle. He’s often a major supporter when it comes to the August Man Malaysia runs, which we truly appreciate. Therefore we can’t help but highlight him among our list of runners’ Instagram accounts.
