We face the same difficulty each year, to decide who will make it into the top 12 lineup of the August Man A-Listers campaign. After scouting the guys and receiving nominations and submissions from both online and through friends, we play the part of private investigator for a month, finding out more about these guys who believe they have the chops to make it into the competition. Ultimately, you can only find out so much about a person by snooping around (legally, of course), so we brought all of them to Butter Factory this year to meet the guys in the flesh, so to speak. The August Man team was there with our host, Anita Kapoor, to familiarise and understand these guys better and their motivations for taking part in the competition, and to suss out their abilities. After all, we are looking for men of style, substance and success.
At the Meet and Greet session earlier this month, we grabbed the A-Listers for some screen time, just as a dry run to get them used to being on camera, and whipped up drinks to loosen their tongues. Among them were past participants of the A-Listers campaign, who gave them a hint of what to expect and prep for when it comes to the retreat itself. Get a glimpse of what happened here.
