A note from the editor
Dear readers,
The global pandemic has shown no signs of abatement. Coupled with the revelation that asymptomatic carriers can unknowingly transmit the virus to others, governments around the world now recognise that social distancing is a key measure to curb the spread of the pandemic and “flatten the curve”. To do our part in the fight against COVID-19, AUGUSTMAN Singapore will be offering digital issues of its print magazine for free for the next three months.
At AUGUSTMAN Singapore, we’ve implemented work-from-home arrangements as part of the initiatives by Burda Luxury, well before the government-stipulated measures were put into place. Although it’s still business as usual for both our print magazine and its digital counterpart, AUGUSTMAN.com, the content that we create for the two platforms are not identical. We thus want to offer even more content for our readers by extending complimentary digital issues of the print magazine for the next three months. This doesn’t just support the circuit breaker measures that have been implemented in Singapore, but social distancing measures around the world.
So please do your part and stay in, but stay engaged too – not just with us, but also with the world at large. You can access the content, with issue 157 featuring the lovely Anthony Hopkins, here.
On a related note, we will be introducing a new series on our social media soon, to keep us all connected and engaged, never mind that we’re doing so digitally, at least for now. I will announce this AUGUSTMAN Singapore initiative later this week, and I invite you to join my editorial team with input of your own in the coming month.
More details from us soon. Meanwhile, hang in there with us, because this too shall pass.
Yours,
Jamie Tan
