Last weekend saw the 15th iteration of this region’s largest annual photo competition, the Canon Photomarathon. According to Canon, the competition seeks to challenge photography enthusiasts to get out of the comfort zone and push beyond their boundaries to capture great photos under the pressure of time.

This year, it’s been touted that the event is bigger than ever, expanding its geographical reach to include parallel competitions held around the region including Brunei, Cambodia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

After a grueling day of shooting, a few skillful photographers emerged victorious. Here are the work of some of the winners:
