We trust you are all geared up for the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix weekend. This may be your first, or the 10th race you have attended. Still, you’re stoked about the activities. Your F1 passes, maps, and program sheet are lined up neatly beside your favourite team jersey, one for every day of the race. You may have planned the entire weekend to the minute so you can root for your favourite racer(s) at the paddock, and catch a star-studded performances at the Padang.

The wait is over for fans of mandopop. The King of Asian pop JAY CHOU is returning to Padang Stage yet again, this time the award-winning actor/singer/song writer will be performing his hits and songs from his 14th studio album Jay Chou’s Bedtime Stories (周杰伦的床边故事) featuring ‘Love Confession’(告白气球), on Friday, 14 September. The Taiwanese superstar will share the limelight in a special collaboration with Singaporean jazz vocalist Joanna Dong, who Jay Chou recently mentored in Sing! China.

Another band making a return to the Singapore Grand Prix Formula 1 show is Las Vegas-based rock band The Killers.  Their last album Wonderful Wonderful topped the Billboard Top 200 chart after it was launched. Lead singer Brandon Flower has lined the band’s anthemic hits including ‘Mr Brightside’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘The Man’, ‘Run for Cover’ and many more to get you into the groove.

Sharing the same stage that evening is one of Britain’s most prominent rock stars, Liam Gallagher. The English singer/song writer voted best frontman of all time by Q magazine in 2010 during his stint with the Oasis before performing as a solo artist. His first solo album outsold all the top 10 UK albums combined in 2017. Liam Gallagher will be at the Padang stage on Saturday, 15 September, before Formula 1 Qualifying.

Martin Garrix, one of the talked-about dance music sensations, is one of many anticipated acts during the F1 weekend. The 22-year-old Dutch DJ, record producer and musician from Amstelveen was ranked number 1 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs list for 2016 and 2017. ‘Animals’, released in 2013, was a breakout success and a game-changer for the music industry. Reaching #1 in the UK and many other territories, it ultimately reached over a billion streams across several platforms. Catch him at the Padang on Sunday September 16 for his chart-topping hits.

    English singer songwriter, Dua Lipa, will also join the ranks of  Martin Garrix on Sunday at the Padang. The award-winning solo artist the youngest female music artist ever to hit a billion views on Youtube. Her chart topping hits included the self-titled debut ‘Be The One’ and ‘IDGAF’ as well as the UK #1 single ‘New Rules’.
