Since its founding in 1987 by Marco Palmieri, Piquadro has earned a reputation for creating a range of fine Italian luxury leather products, ranging from business items to travel equipment. While it initially helped produce leather goods for some of the leading Italian luxury labels, Palmieri established Piquadro as an independent label in 1998, introducing standalone stores in 2000 in Milan and Rome. More recently, its expansion into Asia has seen stores emerge on the shores of Hong Kong and Singapore. The company has, for the first time, released a documentary video detailing the process of the creation of Piquadro’s bags, from the initial selection of skins to the individual testing of bags and craftsmanship involved in the process of making these fine bags. We’ve released the video for your viewing. We will be interviewing CEO and founder Marco Palmieri in the March edition of August Man magazine, out soon. In the meantime, this video will more than occupy your attention.
