King Bhumibol passed away this 13th October 2016, the ninth reigning monarch of Thailand and the country’s longest reigning monach to date, with a 70 year reign as of this year. He was also the world’s longest reigning head of state.
The king oversaw many transitions in the world, from the post-WWII recovery to the booming ’50s, the burgeoning Internet age and the modern day of advanced technology. For most of us, it would be too much to take in, but the king welcomed change and development, perhaps ignited by his study of the sciences and his love of photography from young.
