Remember DXO? It was a club along the Singapore River, just beside the Esplanade establishment. Since it shuttered a few years ago, the place has remained inactive, save for the occasional event. The Esplanade management has been quietly transforming the prime space into an arts and lifestyle destination and the finishing touches have finally been put in.

This weekend, on 20 and 21 May, Esplanade will be holding a huge party at the new Esplanade Annexe to celebrate its opening. If you’re an arts and craft enthusiast, a music junkie, a foodie or just someone who loves a good time, we highly recommend that you head down to the open house.

Highlights include workshops on coffee appreciation, floral jar jamming and aromatherapy, music and spoken word performances featuring Singapore band The Good Life (pictured below), as well as poets Cyril Wong and Pooja Nansi respectively. And knowing our shopping tendencies, Esplanade has curated an eclectic list of goods makers and retailers, including wares from Souvenirs From Singapore and Etsy Craftivist SG.

Esplanade has also collaborated with HungryGoWhere to create a food trail featuring the numerous dining outlets from Esplanade Mall. Tickets for the trail start from $58 and can be purchased here. Admission is free for the rest of the activities.
