Starting this weekend, 30 June, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) is transforming the Resort World Theatre and Resort World Ballroom into a football extravaganza in celebration of World Cup season.
RWS has installed seven large, high-definition screens along the interior walls of the ballroom for that IMAX-esque experience and removed the regular seats at the theatre, replacing them with a soccer turf and football pitch seats to make you and your friends feel like you’re at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow. Except with a lot more swearing in dialect.
The best bit: the live screenings are absolutely free.
RWS has also created F&B packages to accompany the screenings in case you get peckish or thirsty, and let’s be honest, World Cup matches are rarely complete without beer. There are two types of packages: VIP ($168) and regular ($20), which are available for purchase on site at the venue or online here.
The VIP package comes with free flow beer and bar bites plus dedicated premium seating for maximum viewing pleasure while the regular variant gives you two beers and two bar bites plus dedicated seats.
Alternatively, there are also a la carte food and drink options around the two venues if you prefer lounging around with your group of friends.
After all, the World Cup is always better with friends.
