If you had any doubts about the multi-billion dollar business that is online shopping, which we are all regular participants of here at August Man, here is another demonstration of how far the Internet resurgence has come. Leading men’s online fashion and style acquisition portal Mr Porter is embarking on a collab with Italian label Brioni on an exclusive tuxedo that will be made available online on the website on 6 November. We’ve marked our calendars already – fyi, it’s GMT, so 8am Singapore time, we’ll be on Mr Porter picking up one of these cool midnight blue one-button tuxes with peak lapels paired with a pale blue evening shirt, silk twill bow tie, and a pleated cummerbund.

It makes a statement about how significant the online community is to the luxury industry that a fashion label is willing to commit to a partnership with a single site to introduce a special product. On the collaboration, buying director of Mr Porter commented, “We’re excited to be working with the team at Brioni, masters of luxury tailoring and refined Italian style. This one of a kind tuxedo is exclusive to MR PORTER.COM and we believe it to be a perfect example of modern eveningwear in a sophisticated dark midnight blue – perfect for black tie affairs and holiday and event dressing.”

Brioni, part of the PPR group that includes fashion giant Gucci, and other labels such as Yves Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, was established in 1945 and is one of the leading gentlemen’s fashion labels today. It’s a preferred label by renowned gents including the famed secret agent of the fictional world, James Bond, and represents Italian tailoring of the highest quality. Brioni is available in Singapore at Uomo Collezioni, located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. For more information, visit Uomo Collezioni’s website.
