IN a culinary scene as eclectic as ours, there’s no problem finding new foods to eat.

Apart from novel gastronomical concepts breaking into the culinary scene, industry veterans are also bringing in reinvented flavours to spice things up.

So if you have an insatiable craving for new grub this month, here are the 5 new restaurants and menus to try in Singapore that we’re hyped about.

New restaurants

01: Clove

Clove is bringing all the best flavours in the world onto your plate with an all-day dining buffet concept.

Its multi-cuisine menu features an exquisite offering of native and international delights, like its house-made Singapore laksa and signature chicken ballotine clove truffle cream. They’re also promising a fresh, hearty seafood selection with a DIY Poké Bar that you can enjoy.

Not to mention its earthy wooden decor aesthetic basked in natural light — it’s perfect for your Instagram flatlays.

Clove, Swissotel The Stamford, 2 Stamford Rd, Level 2, Singapore 178882, Tel:+65  6431 6156

02: Chuan Hung

A newcomer to the Telok Ayer hangout is Chuan Hung, a Sichuan noodle house that serves homemade Mian Yang rice noodles.

Just like a ramen shop, you can customise your order with different soup bases, like the spicy red broth, a collagen-rich clear broth or a chicken one infused with Sichuan vine peppers. After which, pick from its variety of meats — braised beef, chicken and mushroom or more adventurous options like ox tongue and chicken innards.

The other sides such as braised eggplant and fried pig intestines are also worth ordering with the noodles.

Chuan Hung, 51 Telok Ayer St, #01-01, Singapore 048441, Tel: +65 9755 1058

03: Una

This restaurant and bar is one of three new F&B concepts that hail a Spanish heritage at The Alkaff Mansion at Telok Blangah.

Its renewed emphasis on Basque cuisine conjures a menu of Basque-inspired dishes, including signature items like its paellas, wagyu a la parrilla (chargrilled wagyu rump with potato foam) and cochinillo asado (crispy roasted suckling pig).

Before you leave, you can also drop by Txa on the first floor; it’s Singapore’s first and only pintxos bar serving an assortment of pintxo with Spanish beers, wine and cocktails.

Una, The Alkaff Mansion, 10 Telok Blangah Green, Singapore 109178, Tel: +65  6773 0070

New menus

01: Father’s day menu at Andaz Singapore

Andaz Singapore is offering an extensive breakfast buffet at Alley on 25 on the Sunday of 16th June for Father’s Day. For SGD 39, you can enjoy hearty classics such as Eggs Benedict, Breakfast Burger and Smoked Salmon Bagels.

This spread includes a continental station that comes with loaves of bread from the Tiong Bahru bakery, cold cuts and a choice selection of superfoods at the salad bar.

To top it all off, there’s a complimentary glass of cocktail; but for the ultimate indulgence in liquid happiness, you can treat your dad to free-flow wines, draught beer, mojitos as well as prosecco and spritz for another SGD 40.

Alley on 25, Andaz Singapore, 5 Fraser St, Level 25, Singapore 189354, Tel: +65 6408 1288

02: Summerlong’s new dinner menu

The Mediterranean restaurant is making a comeback with a newly crafted three-course dinner set menu, one that best captures the bold flavours of the Eastern Mediterranean.

To start off, you can pick the classic hummus or the hot-favourite corn fritters with avocado dip.

For the mains, you have options of pork kofta and chicken breast from its specially curated kebab menu; the grilled eggplant kebab is also a great option for vegetarians.

As the finale, pick the sticky date pudding for a sweet indulgence, while the tangy raspberry sorbet remains as a refreshing alternative.

Summerlong, 60 Robertson Quay #01-04 Singapore 238252, Tel:+65  6235 1225
