The year may be drawing to a close, but we’re nowhere near done feasting for 2015. In fact, the festive season is just another reason for us to indulge in some gluttony. To make things a little easier for you, we have compiled a list of eateries that offer festive menus that are worth checking out. Unsurprisingly, the list is rather long so we’ll be splitting this into several parts. To get you started, here’s a list of restaurants that offer a festive menu with an Asian twist:

1) CÉ LA VI

Apart from its breath-taking views, CÉ LA VI is a restaurant known for its modern Asian cuisine. This festive season, Executive Chef Frederic Faucheux has gone the extra mile to create unique holiday dishes with an Asian twist. The chef explains that he is able evoke the Yuletide spirit by marrying essential Christmas ingredients and modern Asian techniques. If oysters are your thing, you will be pleasantly surprised with Chef Frederic’s use of cranberry gel topping on Irish Kelly Oysters. He also uses a cinnamon honey soy glaze over delectably crunchy Wok Fried Shishito. Pastry Chef Ariane Jimenez also has a treat for those of you with a sweet tooth: Yuzu Apple dessert with gingerbread for a crumbly base (Pictured at the very top of this page)

A 12-dish festive menu is available from 9 December 2015 to 3 January 2016, with the exception of 31 December. Wine/Champagne pairing is also available. Make a reservation at reservation-sg@celavi.com

2) Me@OUE

This rooftop restaurant and lounge is yet another that offers panoramic views along with delicious nosh. For one night only (Christmas Eve), this Japanese, French, and Chinese restaurant will be serving up a tantalizing festive five-course menu. Begin the night with a specially chosen spread of the freshest sashimi. Foie Gras Terrine, the second course of the night, is made special with a festive blend of quince, mint and caramelized hazelnut. This is followed with a perfectly baked Black Cod served on a dollop of pumpkin purée, and salted egg yolk. The fourth course is a generous serving of Roasted Duck topped with shavings of black truffle. The end of the meal calls for a festive classic- a slice of Christmas Log Cake drenched with caramel tulip Amarena cherry ice-cream.

3) Summer Palace, Regent Singapore

This beautiful restaurant at Regent Singapore with very traditional interior serves delicious and exquisite Asian cuisine. From December 1 to 31, Summer Palace Executive Chinese Chef Liu is serving up a mouth-watering spread of sizzling claypot rice specials, which are a winter tradition in Hong Kong. The assorted meats claypot rice is an homage to the Chef’s hometown. This beautiful rendition is topped with air-dried Chinese pork and liver sausages, waxed duck and preserved pork belly. Another winter treat is the Chef’s signature frog with sausage claypot rice- a perennial favourite here. Be sure to tuck into the lobster with ginger and onion claypot rice if you are a seafood lover. The flavours will amaze you.

Call 6725 3288 or email summerpalace.rsn@fourseasons.com to make your reservations.

Keep checking in for more updates about where you can go to satisfy those festive cravings of yours.
