From 7 September to 7 October, the good people at Artisan Boulangerie Co. (ABC) will be serving some specially-designed pastries to raise funds for the Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF). 70% of the gross proceeds from the sales of these tasty treats will go towards funding critical programmes and services for children with cancer and their families. These programs are vital because they are aimed at enhancing the beneficiaries’ emotional, social, and medical well-being.
ABC Executive Chef Eran Mayer shares with us that the decision to support the CCF was very personal. “Cancer is a disease that affects all of us, whether it be a loved one or an acquaintance, adult or child. As a father of two young daughters, supporting children with cancer is a cause that is close to my heart. The Hope Éclair and Compassion Swirl is a ‘sweet’ way to help raise awareness of CCF and their mission to build a better future for children with cancer and their families. ABC is proud to work with the communities we serve to help raise money for such a worthy cause.”
The Compassion Swirl and Hope Éclair (pictured in the gallery above), cost $4 and $5 respectively – small prices to pay for such a benevolent cause, not to mention how tasty these pastries are (the AUGUSTMAN editorial team can attest to this). Both are available at ABC outlets at Killiney, Great World City, Asia Square, Metropolis, VivoCity and Katong. Pre-orders and deliveries are also available through email@example.com, so if you’re planning for an office party or just have a very hungry team, be sure to show these guys some support. Mahatma Gandhi once said, “The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer”.
