BMW Group Malaysia recently celebrated their previous year’s performance in an intimate event that saw the launch of a slew of other exciting vehicles for BMW fans nationwide.
The event, which took place in Exchange 106, saw BMW Group Malaysia introduce the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport, the locally-assembled All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i, the new BMW R 18 Classic and New BMW S 1000 RR motorbikes, plus the New MINI Cooper S Countryman and the New MINI Cooper SE Countryman.
We take a closer look at all the latest releases by BMW Group Malaysia below:
All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport
First up, we look at probably the sexiest release of the lot by BMW Group Malaysia this time around, featuring the new, more domineering front grille – the 430I Coupe M Sport.
The kidney grille of the All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is a homage to historic icons in BMW’s history such as the BMW 328, reinterpreting the standout feature and embodying it into a sporty, contemporary coupé form.
Aside from the fashionable trimmings the real excitement lies in its performance, of which it’s capable to hit 100km/h in a mere 5.8 seconds, with 400Nm or torque.
The All-New BMW 430i Coupé M Sport, priced at RM454,800 before taxes, is available in Arctic Race Blue Metallic, Portimao Blue, Alpine White, and Black Sapphire. Leather Vernasca upholstery with black décor stitching decorates the interior and comes in Black, Tacora Red or Cognac.
BMW X7 xDrive40i
BMW Group Malaysia previewed the locally assembled variant of the All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence which reaffirms their investments in the local automotive landscape through one of the brand’s many progressive pillars.
The All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence is an exemplification of luxury within the BMW brand, and is a sophisticated statement on its own. The variant’s imposing appearance and stature, designed with comfort and luxury at its heart, belies the versatility and agility that are characteristic of a BMW X model. With its outstanding powertrain and chassis technology, the All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence offers an unparalleled driving and interior experience.
The All-New BMW X7 xDrive40i Pure Excellence is offered in five exterior finishes to complement its sophisticated stature, with selected interior colour combinations. The exterior colours of Black Sapphire and Sophisto Grey come in Cognac Leather Vernasca upholstery with Black design perforations, while Phytonic Blue and Manhattan Metallic exteriors come complete with an all-Black design-perforated Leather Vernasca interior. Lastly, Leather Vernasca in Coffee with Black design perforations comes exclusively with the Mineral White model. It is priced at RM 708,000 before taxes.
bmw motorrad releases
BMW Motorrad Malaysia introduced the New BMW R 18 Classic and the New BMW S 1000 RR.
The New BMW R 18 Classic arrives with additional LED headlights and electronic cruise control as standard, along with equipment comprising of a windshield, passenger seat, and saddle bags. Meanwhile, the New BMW S 1000 RR now comes equipped with the Riding Mode Pro and Dynamic Damping Control functions as standard, providing a much more thrilling experience on the racetrack.
The retail price (on the road, without insurance, and with BMW Motorrad Malaysia’s All-New 3-Year Warranty and 3-Year Roadside Assistance Programmes) for the New BMW R 18 Classic and the New BMW S 1000 RR are RM 154,500.00 and RM 121,500.00 respectively.
Mini Cooper countryman variants
MINI, the compact premium automotive brand within BMW Group Malaysia unveiled the New MINI Cooper S Countryman and the New MINI Cooper SE Countryman – also further solidifying its portfolio of locally-assembled vehicles.
A 2-litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine sits at the heart of the MINI Cooper S Countryman, enabling the vehicle to produce 192 hp and 280 Nm of torque to achieve a century sprint in 7.5 seconds. Meanwhile, the MINI Cooper SE Countryman is powered by a 1.5 litre MINI TwinPower Turbo engine and an electric motor, producing a combined power of 224 hp and 385Nm of torque. The plug-in hybrid is capable of going from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The New MINI Countryman variants are available in Chili Red, White Silver, Island Blue, Thunder Grey, British Racing Green and for the first-time ever, Sage Green –a captivating hue inspired by nature.
The New MINI Cooper S Countryman is priced at RM 244,265.76, while the New MINI Cooper SE Countryman costs RM 254,461.84, both before taxes.
