You may have heard of this man, Antonio Citterio before. The Italian designer has worked with names such as B&B Italia, Vitra and designed numerous buildings. He’s also worked with fashion label Ermenegildo Zegna on a suit and valet stand, that’s just stunning. But more importantly, Citterio has a long-standing association with bathroom fixtures maker Axor.
Axor is the world’s leading luxury bathroom fixtures creator and they work closely with reknowned designers and architects to create designer visions for the bathroom, coveted by many. They’ve worked with Philippe Starck, Jean-Marie Massaud, Front, Nendo, Patricia Urquiola (whose bathtub design is probably one of the sexiest in the world), et cetera.
This year, it’s returned to Citterio for their third collaboration, and the result is the Axor Citterio E (which stands for evolution). There are a variety of mixers and there are two design options for the showers. The 12×12 modules allow for a myriad of design possibilities while the ShowerSelect system offers the intuitive control of the showers. It’s mix and match, and the result is the bathroom you’ve always wanted, sleek and stylish.
Now, Axor’s upped the game with the Axor Manufaktur, which allows you to select from a range of 15 finishes that it can customise your bathroom to. It takes at least 10 weeks to do it, but you can have that brushed black chrome finish on an Axor Citterio E mixer, which honestly looks both badass and sexy. Check out the videos of Citterio talking about his perfect bathroom and browse through the range of products on offer. And remember, this is a bathrom for life. It’s worth every penny.
