Yes, yes. Orange is the new black and 50 is the new 30. But while we celebrate better health and life expectancy, we really dread looking old. Wrinkles, jowls, bumpy fat deposits in the skin, eye bags and crow’s feet are things we never want on our faces, not if we can help it. The thing is, we can. And without resorting to cosmetic surgery at that.

There are now ways to slow down, even reverse some of the effects of ageing. Non-invasive laser rejuvenation technology has made it possible to effectively address age spots, facial lines, saggy jowls and at the same time boost the health of your skin by stimulating collagen production.

Among the latest generation of medical aesthetic solutions is PicoWay. This new generation technology makes it possible to reduce and remove lines and wrinkles, uneven pigmentation that is a result from doing regular outdoor sports and the tattoo you regretted getting as a teen. Its dual wavelength lasers can also be used to lift saggy areas of the skin.

While none of the AUGUSTMAN team has quite that problem yet, Dr Patrina Wong at LinC Aesthetics helped our test subject to achieve facial symmetry with the PicoWay laser by tightening specific areas on one side of the face to match the other side. Dr Wong also used PicoWay to improve our subject’s skin texture by reducing and refining the pores. This is all possible because PicoWay can be administered to specific target areas via a very precise wand applicator.

We have to say the overall results were remarkable. The skin appeared clearer, finer and more youthful and the age spots were significantly reduced. We did this test in mid-September 2016, and three months after, we can vouch that the results last.

At upwards of $600+GST per session (a first consultation is charged at $70+GST), the cost of PicoWay laser rejuvenation isn’t exactly small change. But it’s far more affordable than surgery and other laser rejuvenation technology and the results are persuasive. Besides it’s that time of year when you typically get to catch up with old friends and meet new ones, which is good reason to be putting your best face forward.
