The 2014 August Man A-Listers campaign is underway. As some of you may have noticed, this year’s campaign doesn’t follow the previous format. No weekend retreat. No groups of men frantically running around Marina Bay Sands on a set of quests. And no surprise challenges that had former contestants deliver impromtu speeches or attempt to pick up a girl at the bar. In fact, none of the challenges this time around were decided by us. They were decided by the A-Listers themselves.
This year, we gathered 10 gentlemen and tasked them with a personal challenge that they must complete in five weeks. We will document their trials and tribulations as they go through their individual challenges. The men must also try to generate interest in what they are doing to raise funds for charity. Inspired by the cause, campaign host Anita Kapoor has decided to join in with a challenge for herself.
All proceeds of the 2014 campaign will be donated to CARE Singapore, an organisation that is dedicated to helping youths at risk to turn their lives around and help them create a future with hope by providing school-based social-work service that encompasses a comprehensive suite of life-skills instruction, character development, motivational engagement, counselling, socio-emotional support, leadership development and family engagement.
The conclusion of our A-Listers 2014 campaign will be in September, in line with our eighth anniversary issue.
