Chin Nyap

The Chin Nyap you see today is nothing like the struggling master’s student a decade ago, and the man credits his profound change and development to a mindset change. Indeed, a quick chat with the affable architect will reveal his strong internal locus of control, and how it has shaped his worldview to take on challenges as they come. Like the A-List, for example.
How would you define an A-Lister?

He’s someone who welcomes growth and wants to do something for himself which, in this case, involves building a personal brand. Personal development aside, he’s also concerned about contributing to society and building good personal relationships.

You were nominated by a friend?

Yes. I only found that out at the meet-and-greet session. I thought I was merely tagging along to an event with that friend. He did what he did because he knew I wouldn’t have felt comfortable about being nominated, much less signing up. I’ve never been one to put myself out there. Then again, it’s something I should think about if I want to get out of my comfort zone.

What do you plan to do with this campaign now that you’re an A-Lister?

I see this as the next stage of my growth, so I’m just going to jump in and see how this will work out, and whether I can use it as a platform not just to benefit myself, but also my industry and society in general.
