Jordan Chua is a true hustler. He has to be. The CEO of exotic car dealer Envy Motors started from the bottom and learnt as much as he could before he struck out on his own. He drives a Nissan Skyline GT-R around town, but never forgets his salad days.
Why did you decide to be part of The A-List?
To be honest, it’s for my business. I’m not the type of guy who likes being in the limelight. I don’t like attention. But I will do anything to grow my business.
You are already successful, and at such a young age. How do you do it?
I’d like to think it’s because I’m sincere. I don’t try to gain something from every situation. I believe you are what you do, not what you say you do. Hopefully, my actions have spoken louder than my words. And I think that is what helped to bring me where I am today.
You’re also a Muay Thai exponent.
I took up Muay Thai because I used to be a fat boy. It has helped me beyond losing the flab ﾐ it disciplined my mind. That is why I’ve stucked with it for more than seven years now. Without Muay Thai, I don’t think I would be who I am today. It has taught me how to focus on my goals. I’ve fought in about four or five bouts, and lost one. Win or lose, what’s more important is that I gained self awareness. I realised that I had grit and perseverance even when I was getting my butt kicked. Haha.
